Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel

Craig Chee & Sarah Maisel found the mighty ukulele to be the best tool to share their love for performing and teaching. As Craig and Sarah started traveling to different ukulele festivals, they were embraced world wide, due to their approachable teaching styles, performances, and work ethic. By collaborating at different events, they found even more success as Craig brought his fusion of island style and pop to complement Sarah’s jazz background.

Craig and Sarah found much more in their partnership, marrying in September of 2015. They have recorded 4 albums together and are known for their vocal harmonies and intricate playing styles. Craig and Sarah have been featured at ‘Ukulele Festivals and events all over the world including Cairns and the Sunshine Coast (Australia), Cheltenham and Huddersfield (United Kingdom), Vancouver (Canada), Tokyo (Japan), Berlin (Germany), Brussels (Belgium), Honolulu (HI), and all over the continental US. Both feel very fortunate to have been featured twice on the cover of Ukulele Magazine.

Craig and Sarah started their own events from creating their Online Ukulele School with ArtistWorks (since 2016), ukulele cruises, retreats, online workshops, backyard concerts, livestream festivals and events. They also produced and organized the 51st Ukulele Festival Hawaii after moving back to Oahu at the end of 2020. Utilizing Craig’s background in multimedia, Craig and Sarah have been able to infuse new technology with the ukulele creating rich experiences that feature many of the worlds greatest ukulele players and instructors.

Now based on Oahu with their 2 year old son, Craig and Sarah continue to create many more opportunities to not only share their passion of the ukulele, but to feature many local artists and teachers. As their ukulele heroes did for them, Craig and Sarah hope to create a positive impact for future ukulele lovers lovers.
