Olympic Trials

A few days ago, I had the honor of playing at the Olympic Trials here in Eugene, Oregon. It was absolutely stunning. As you can see below, the stage was HUGE! We had the usual line up (Theo Halpert, Sean Ponder, Milo Fultz) with the addition of Almond Davis and Paul Biondi. Paired with the amazing sound crew, we have never sounded better. I've never been so comfortable on stage before, mainly due to being able to hear every little detail of our sound and being to still create great dynamics with the overwhelming amount of speakers we were playing through. I had a lot of great comments and hope that the entertainment crew asks us back for more events throughout the year!

I'll be writing a few posts this week as I get ready to head back to Cairns, Australia! I sat through 7 interviews over the phone yesterday from radio stations based in Australia and had an absolute blast. Talking more about it definitely made me realize how much I'm looking forward to returning!

Off to work I go, hope you all have a spectacular Monday!

I'm Back!

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_NRiahzChE&w=853&h=480] It's been way too long since I've updated this site! We now have a new layout and some new announcements.

First off, thank you for all of your support! Whether you've seen me grow as a musician throughout the years or a brand new fan, your support has been amazing! We have the band CD out now (click the music tab at the top!) and I'm extremely proud to have that completed.

Next off, I'm gearing up for my return to the Cairns Australia Ukulele Festival! Last year was a blast and I'm so excited to be heading back! For last year attendees, expect everything you loved about last year's performance and multiply it by 10! There are lots of surprises in store. It'll be great to see all the people I've met from all over Australia who have kept in touch with me too! More info about the festival can be found here: cairnsukulelefestival.net

Lastly, I've started working with a great promoter (who I shall introduce in a later post) that has already started the ball rolling on some big things! I'll be filling you all in very shortly. It's absolutely crazy how many things there are to the music business besides writing and performing... might make a post about my experience with it all soon :)

I promise this time I'll be updating a lot more often! Find me on Facebook or Twitter. Here's to the start of an amazing summer!

Aloha,

Craig

Gorge Ukulele Festival is coming up!

The Gorge Ukulele Festival is right around the corner. With an amazing line up yet again, it's looks to be a very exciting weekend. James Hill, Victoria Vox, Lil' Rev, Moe Dixon, Ralph Shaw and MANY more... this is my 4th or 5th year now (I feel way too old when I start trying to figure that out) returning to the Gorge Fest and it's one of my favorite weekends in the year. I look forward to playing some new songs and catching up with friends in the uke world. If you're in the area, I hope to see you there! If not, I'll try to make sure to take enough photos to make it feel like you were!
