We are excited to host this Ukulele Mini-Retreat with Jake Shimabukuro and Herb Ohta Jr. It is going to be two days of intense learning and music. All of us are excited to share our knowledge with you, utilizing the Zoom platform.

What times will the sessions be held?

Our current schedule begins, May 6 11:30AM - 3:30PM HAWAII TIME, and May 7 9:00AM - 2:30PM HAWAII TIME.

Who is this for?

This mini-retreat is meant for the Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Player. We will expect all players to be comfortable with their basic chords as well as barre chords, in order to get the most out of these two days together. There will be some material for the more advanced player available.

What is included in this event?

We will be hosting two days of workshops, all of which are recorded. There will be follow up materials, including teacher notes, a bonus song video lesson, and more. To end our time together, there will be a faculty concert, however the fun does not stop there. Once the retreat has finished, we are asking our students to submit a performance video to us of the song we are learning, so that we can create a special collaboration video featuring students AND instructors!

Can I purchase the retreat, even if I can’t attend every session?

YES you can! That’s the beauty of it being virtual. If you can not make a session, remember, all sessions are recorded. This does mean you will be unable to ask questions during that class, but you do have access to all of the materials.

Will I get to ask the instructors questions?

Of course! There will be time set aside for answering questions, and since we are using the Zoom platform, you can ask questions in class via the chat.
